About me

Hi! I am Hisham, a local guy from the United Arab Emirates. I have been interested in languages since I was a little boy. Back then, the resources to learn foreign languages other than English were very limited. With the rise of the internet, I started engaging in language exchange programs. However, I found myself helping others to learn Arabic rather than learning other languages. I am not a teacher by profession, but I have been helping many to learn Arabic for over 15 years now. I have met many people who were interested in learning Emirati Arabic, so I have decided to focus on Emirati Arabic and build this site since there are hardly any online resources for it.

I highly recommend Hesham for anyone looking to learn either spoken or formal Arabic. He’s an engaging and friendly teacher, and he helped me learn the basics necessary to hold conversations in Arabic with friends and co-workers. There was also a lot of variety in the lessons, which kept them interesting. On some days we would watch clips from Lebanese TV to practice idioms and colloquial Arabic, and on others we would read stories or newspapers to practice Classical Arabic grammar and vocabulary. He was always patient and helpful, and happy to answer any questions I had about local culture and history.
